Sixteen Hour Duty Time Limitation
The contract provides (Page 4-1) that when due to irregular operations (weather delays, mechanical delays, etc.) the duty day is forecasted to exceed sixteen (16) hours, the Company is required to adjust your schedule so as to avoid having more than a sixteen hour duty day.  You may waive this requirement if you so choose.

Deadheading
The Contract in Section 21.Q (page 21-11) provides that the Company must provide all deadheading flight attendants (including reserves and probationary) with "positive space 'must ride' pre-assigned seats."  The contract specifically states that "deadheading flight attendants shall not be required to occupy a jumpseat."   You may do so if you like, but you cannot be required to do so and cannot be disciplined in any way for refusing to sit on the jumpseat while deadheading.
While deadheading, if you do not want to occupy the jumpseat and are asked to by anyone, politely respond that the contract requires that you be given a regular seat and you would like a regular seat.  Remember, by agreeing to take a jumpseat instead of the contractually required seat, you may be denying one of your fellow flight attendants (or pilots) the ability to commute to and from work.
