What does the Hotel Committee do? |

What is the function of the Hotel Committee?
What do we look for in a hotel site inspection?
The representative from the Hotel
Committee goes on site visits with the company and offers a
recommendation of the hotels in any given city. The primary
requirements for every hotel are a quiet, safe, and secure environment
with access to food. These requirements will not be compromised. The
secondary items we look for are free internet access, a business center,
refrigerator/microwave, free breakfast, workout facilities, and
entertainment. In a perfect world we would love to have all of the
above requirements in every hotel. The reality is all hotels don’t
offer all these amenities to the crew. The company does it’s best to
get everything flight attendants would like in a hotel without
compromising the safety of the crew. The company then makes the
final decision.
How do you log a comment or question on
hotel issues?
Try to log the issue as soon as possible
after an incident has occurred. Write down all the pertinent
information. Log on to
www.airtrancrewhotels.com or www.airtrancrew.com
and select CIS systems. It will ask for your employee number and
password. The password will be the last four digits or your social
security number unless you have changed it. Select "new issue" and the
system will walk you through the process. The AFA does not have access
to this system so please copy and paste to hotelcomm@bellsouth.net to
keep us informed. The CIS system will also keep you updated on any new
hotel news and access to current hotel information.
If you ever have any questions on
what is in the contract with each individual hotel please contact Geyson
Rosario at crewhotel@airtran.com or BAT x5087. Geyson is the
Crew Hotel Coordinator for AirTran Airways You can also email me, Amy
Schulte at
hotelcomm@bellsouth.net.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with any comments or suggestions
you may have. Your input is greatly appreciated.
