Did you know???

When renewing your SIDA badge you will be required to show a valid drivers license along with one of the following forms of identification: a passport, social security card or birth certificate.
  • CrewTrac is the database for all schedule information? FLiCA is only a tool used to bid lines and to swap/drop/add trips. There is no real data to this system and everything must be verified from FLiCA to CrewTrac. Make sure you log into CrewTrac to verify all schedule postings and changes. You must always self-notify through CrewTrac or Scheduling will call you to ensure you know of schedule changes.

  • Irregular operations pay is paid when a flight attendant is on or off the aircraft with passengers performing services, answering questions etc. The pay is calculated when flight attendants are not being paid flight pay. In cases where the aircraft has started to taxi to the runway and has to hold for a ground delay a flight attendant is already blocked out of the gate and receiving flight pay, will not be paid Irregular Ops pay, because they are being paid flight pay, which is greater.
Payroll calculates this pay by subtracting the actual departure time from the original departure time. If the difference in time is 61 minutes or more, the FA will be compensated at a rate of $10/ hour. (Thanks to Elon Jenkins for this information!)

  • A flight attendant cannot be scheduled for over 95 hours.  If a reassignment will put you over 95 hours scheduling is to advise you of such.  This will provide the flight attendant with the option of having the 95 hour schedule adjusted back to 95 hours at a later date.  No flight attendant can refuse a reassignment because of going over 95 hours.

a.) You should ask scheduling if the reassignment will put you over 95 hours, otherwise scheduling will assume that you are waiving your rights and voluntarily electing to exceed 95 hours.

b.) This policy of 95 hours does not include any flight attendant  who has picked up trips that puts their line value over 95 hours. This flight attendant is considered to have waived the contractual agreement of 95 hours and the company has the ability to add additional hours to their schedule limited only by FAR requirements.

  • If a flight attendant has been on medical leave and returns to work prior to the next month, the company will allow (but not required) the flight attendant to pick up trips rather than sitting RR. There are limitations to this policy, see a union official for more information.

  • All conversations with crew scheduling are recorded.  No conversations with in-flight supervisors are recorded.

  • All probationary (new) flight attendants are eligible for a reimbursement of the cost of alterations to the basic uniform.

  • All flight attendants have the right and should review their files.  Negative items that are a year old are to be removed unless some additional item is placed in a flight attendant's file dealing with the same subject matter.  For example, a flight attendant is given a Documented Coaching and Counseling (DCC) for conduct.  Nine months later he/she is given a Written Warning (WW) for conduct.  The DCC (and subsequent letters) will remain in the file until no further conduct issues have been placed in his/her file for a year.  No medical files should be in your personal file.

  • Hotels are provided for all unscheduled overnights in domicile; hotels are provided at field stations when a flight attendant is assigned or reassigned to a sit time over 5 hours.

  • A flight attendant cannot be scheduled for more than a 14-hour duty day.  If the day is extended due to weather or mechanical delays the flight attendant is not required to work past 16 hours but may waive the limitation.  If the flight attendant waives the 16-hour rule they must complete the scheduled day.

  • If a flight attendant is assigned an eight hour RR, any flights assigned must commence during this eight-hour period.  The flight attendant does have the option of waiving this right.

  • The contract provides that all flight attendants be provided single occupancy hotel rooms.

  • If a hotel van or contracted transportation is not available within 30 minutes of blocking in, the flight attendant may hire a taxi for transportation to the hotel.  The flight attendant is required to notify scheduling prior to hiring a taxi.  This will ensure that the company will not refuse reimbursement of the cab.
